Adjusting well
As you can see they are all adjusting quite well by the looks of this picture! We just got back from our evening walk and I think they were a little bit tired!
The dogs out back
You can see their personalities here. Buddy and Isabell are curious as to what is going on around them. Alley on the other hand is only interested in her ball!
My good girls
More pictures of her room
So here are more pictures of her room. Can you tell I am excited?!?! I still have a little more organization to go, but I am getting there. I have washed all of her bedding, blankets, and newborn clothes. 60 days from today is her due date!
Addison's Room
Here is the before and after pictures... I really like how the letters turned out after we painted them.
Addison's Crib
Too cute
The night before they took off back home to Indiana, we unrolled all of these diapers that my wonderful friends made into diaper cakes for me, specificaly Cindy and Jamie! Thanks girls! I couldn't believe how many we ended up with! It took us 2 hours to unroll them so we put in a movie and started chattin' away!
The second picture is right before they left. I thought it was so cute I wanted to add it. I miss you guys!
Chest complete
Okay, so I did screw the knobs on! That was hard work! Here is the completed project with her first clothes going into her drawer. How tiny these newborn outfits are!
Grandma putting the chest together for her grandbaby Addie
While Paul's mom was visiting we decided to put the chest together for Baby Addie and how special for her grandma to assemble it! This was a lot of fun. Thank goodness Nancy is good at this kind of thing, because who knows what it would have looked like if I had done it!
Nancy and Ava's Visit June 5-10!
Here are some shots of my wonderful mother-in-law, Nancy, getting love from Isabell, my baby neice Ava finding a pitcher of water entertaining, Ava eating and smiliin', Nancy at the river trying to get Ava to come join us.
It was so nice to have them come visit with me and keep me company while Paul attended class in Virginia. It was nice to have some alone time with my mother-in-law too and get all of the baby tips that I can. I really got lucky getting a good one! She feels like a mom to me! Thanks Nancy for coming out to hang out with me!!! I had so much fun.
Seein' some sites
Even though we just got here we got to see some sites, right?! Here is the Frog Xing. This is a rock in the side of a hill painted like a frog as you can see. Here is my Dad in Illinois where Lewis & Clark departed for thier adventure out West. World's largest Rocker! It is made of metal...guess they opted not to use wood for this build!
Making it ours!
Empty...not anymore! Hanging blinds was top priority as you see my Dad and Paul both working feverishly on installing! I will blog more pictures of how it looks now...a bit more together!
Missouri!
Now, after all of the visiting family and friends all over the country, here we are pulling up to our brand new house in Waynesville, Missouri. Yes, totally different area than VA Beach! But change is good, right?! This was May 29, 2008. So exciting! I was thinking 'I hope we make friends fast!' and that my baby girl will get to have a brand new home! My honey did a good job picking it out! Thanks Babe!
Memorial Day Cookout
We were just going to have a 'small' cookout on Memorial Day. It was nice hanging out with my family...and of course eating!!! Doris--I am going to have to make more ranch potato salad, that stuff was good!
More shower pictures...
Here are some of my favorite pictures from the shower. Starting at the top left is my Grandma with me and my sisters, Hayley and Hillary, my Dad's girlfriend Doris fixing my shower hat out of my bows and ribbons, me just opening gifts (such fun!), my sisters Hayley and Hillary make a heart on my belly (I love this picture!), my cousin Heather and I with our Grandma Billie Ruth...Heather is 3 weeks ahead of my in her pregnancy with a little girl (so there are 3 generations in this picture), again my Grandma Billie Ruth, Nanny Elaine, and my Grandma Fay (a picture with all of my grandmas!), and last but not least my Grandma Fay feeling Baby Addie kick. What a fun time!!!
