November 13, 2010 was Mason's 1/2 BIRTHDAY!!!! Where is time going these days?! Since having him the time has went by in the blink of an eye! It kind of scares me because I just want to enjoy every moment and love on my babies as much as possible before they are too grown for wanting Mommies kisses and cuddles.
Mason is such a delight and gives us so many laughs, smiles and coos. He will also share these with strangers, but he is starting to destingish Mommy and Daddy from others. As soon as I walk out of the room he will start crying some times if he wants me. He is always smiling when I go to get him out of his crib...whenever he sees me his whole face lights up. He can sit up on his own now and has been for awhile. Mason is wanting to travel these days, but hasn't quite got the whole crawling thing down yet, BUT he will rock back and forth and roll EVERYWHERE! He gets into everything. As a matter of fact yesterday he almost pulled the Christmas tree down on himself. YIKES! He always makes his way over to the toys in the room. His favorites seem to be the farm, anything he can get into his mouth, beads and the Leap Frog Spinwheel (this was one of Addison's fav also). Carrots and sweet potatoes seem to be his favorite veggies and prunes seem to be his fav fruit so far. He wants the spoon to feed himself and make a HUGE mess! He LOVES LOVES LOVES baby puffs. He will keep eating them too if you let him. He actually prefers these over veggies and fruits. I have to say he still loves Mommy's milk the best I do believe. At this time he is nursing 5 to 6 times I day and taking 3 deceint naps a day. He is wearing 9 months in clothes (some 6 months in pants) and size 4 diapers. At his 6 month checkup he weighed 16 lbs and was 26 inches long. He is in the upper percentiles for his head circumfernce and length. A HUGE milemarker was the day before Thanksgiving, November 24, Mason said MAMA!!! And he has said it everyday since. I have heard him since say DADA too I believe. He whines more than cries and when he sees his milk source he starts getting all excited and starts grunting! Such a boy! ;) He still likes to see what is going on around him and if there is too much going on he won't nurse properly. Addison is his comedic relief. No matter what she does he laughs. Its so cute to see them interacting together.
To My Baby Boy: Mommy couln't love you more! In these short 6 months you have changed our whole world and we cannot imagine life without you. I cannot believe we are halfway to celebrating the BIG #ONE birthday!!! I have already started thinking about themes and what you would enjoy! :) I feel like I was in the hospital yesterday having you! Happy 1/2 BIRTHDAY Baby boy! You will ALWAYS be Mommy's baby no matter how big you or your sister get!!! :)
XOXO,
Mommy
