Back to Nevada 9/25
Cindy and Jacob are flying back to Nevada today. I am so sad to see them go. I enjoyed their visit. It reminded me of old days back in Virginia of how we got together all of the time. Now we just have to plan a new trip. We were thinking of Yellowstone National Park or Colorado...meeting in the middle would be easier. The guys could so snow skiing and us girls could go to the spa! Sounds like a plan to me! I miss you guys already! Hugs and Kisses from Aunt Kiki and Uncle Paul!
FIRST COO!
All ready for bed...and as Paul and Cindy were on the couch with the babies little girl cooed for the first time at them! 9/24! Then she cooed twice for me right afterwards. Now she makes noises and coos all the time! It is funny to hear her grunt. Wow, our baby is growing too fast!

Today she also got weighed. My girl weighs 8 lbs 10 oz! She has gained over 1 lb 8 oz in two weeks! They ideally want them to gain at least 1.5 lbs to 2 lbs a month until three months of age. Some of her newborn stuff is starting to get snug! She is starting to fit into more 0-3 months clothes.General Leonard Wood Hospital
Here is the hospital were I gave birth to our new bundle of joy. The first one is coming up the hill you see the hospital in the background. Ob/GYN and Labor & Delivery are all on the same floor. They recently remodeled the whole floor, floor 3. I made quite a few visits here during my last trimester. All of the labor and delivery nurses are wonderful and very helpful. Today (9/24) we had to take Addison in for a quick unblicial cord checkup since her cord hasn't fallen off yet. Her peditrician said we were cleaning it too good...go figure! You need some bacteria to eat off the cord evidently. So they burned the rest of it off and it should fall off in a few days.
Picture Day! 9/23
Today we took Addison to get her 4 week pictures done. Wow, what a work out. This was my first experience at this so I did not know what to expect. I sure am glad I took Cindy along with me. We went wal-mart shopping afterwards and by the time we got home I was the one ready for a nap!

Check out the second picture! She is totally holding it herself! We haven't been giving her a soothie very much, but for those times when she just needs something it works out great...and I get to get more done!
Outlet Mall 9/22
Wakey Wakey! Addison's first big shopping day! We went to Osage Beach to the Outlet Mall. We spent most of the day there. Most of the morning we spent on the road considering I took us the long way around to the outlets, but we made it- finally! The babies did great! Addison got some new winters outfits and of course her Auntie C had to spoil her!
Skip-Bo
Cindy and I had to get our Skip-Bo on just like old days! This time playing was a little different for me. I had my hands full with cards and baby! At least Addison couldn't give away what my cards were to Cindy! No cheatin'! I had so much fun just like old days back in Virginia. We use to always get together and cook dinner and play games. Skip-Bo and Phase 10 were our favorites. I have enjoyed Cindy's visit so much!!!First PX Shopping trip
Today (9/21) we all went to the PX on Post for a little shopping. It was nice to just get out of the house and go looking around at all of the Halloween stuff. I have to figure out what my little one is going to be this year...maybe a little pumpkin or a lady bug! In the second picture you see Cindy, a true mom here, who could always use an extra hand, but makes do with what she's got. The weather has been so nice here we decided to hang out on the back deck for a little fresh air. Fall begins tomorrow-September 22. Addison and Jacob are too cute!ONE MONTH OLD!!!
Addison is one month old today, September 21! Wow, this last month has really flown by. It just seems like yesterday that I went into labor! My baby is one month old already...unbelievable!
