Happy Father's Day

Yes, I am a little behind, BUT I am trying to get caught up before I get REALLY behind. On Father's day we went to the Frazier's for a double baby shower and to hang out with our families. We had a lot of fun and Addison loves anything that involves water!

She got icing all over herself!

Our Small Hours....2:30pm-9pm

~2:30pm- Okay, so this is where my pictures slacked off dramatically! After nursing and snuggling with Mason I lay him down back in his crib (above) and do whatever I can before Addison wakes up from her nap....computer, clean, laundry, phone, etc. Sometimes she is already awake. Her average nap is at least an hour, but can vary from 45 minutes to 2.5 hours. So I never know exactly how long she will be down. So by 3 pm she is usually up at least so we snuggle when she wakes and get some milk and a snack until she is ready to play together. We color, do shapes, puzzles, and now we do some pretend play like kitchen, dress up or pretend baby doll stuff. Those are the big ones. By this point I have changed 10 diapers, and nursed again. Mason eats every 2 hours during the day, but will go 3 hours during the mid-day and at night as of this post he has went 5 nights in a row 7.5 to 8 hours!!! WOO HOO!!! By 4pm, I usually start dinner and usually by 5pm Paul gets home. Dinnertime is at 5:30pm....like clockwork! Addison will start asking for food if she does not have it in front of her BY 5:30. If I know we are going to have a really late dinner for some reason I will have to give her a snack to hold her off. Mason wants his dinner at this time also so I usually have to nurse him while Paul and Addison eat dinner at the table without me...unless I can get to him earlier and nurse. After dinner we just hang out with Paul and talk about our days and play with the babies. Mason has 3 really wakeful periods of the day, early morning, midday and the evening.

~7pm- While I am bathing Mason, Paul bathes Addison. I failed to get anymore pics of Addison on this day. The evenings seem really busy with Paul getting home, cooking, eating, nursing, bathing, book, snack, nursing Mason and bed for Addison.

~8pm- Addison is in bed. I finish up cleaning the kitchen, dishes, and make Paul's lunch and coffee for the next day. We spend a little snuggle time with Mason and some tummy time for him also. Above, Daddy and son are 'chatting'. At 8:30pm nursing again...he eats a lot at night time! I have changed I know 14 diapers at least, but have honestly lost count. Breastfed babies poop almost after every feeding. Around 9 pm Paul heads to bed so I usually get on the computer and/or watch some tv with Mason.

~10:30pm- Is Mason's last nursing for the day (as of this post 7/1). By this point of the day, I am looking forward to having some alone time honestly. I have been staying up way to late to acquire this alone time, like 11:30 to midnight to get an hour to myself. Sometimes I do go to bed and feed him in bed for that last feeding. The next nursing session is at 6 or 6:30 am! As of this post he has went 5 nights doing this! WOOHOO!!!!

Those are our small hours that make up our day that equals our life right now. Those hours are flying by and I am trying to soak it all up and enjoy these moments with my babies. I know I missed some things, but for the most part you get the idea of what our day is like. Some days are more difficult than others and I feel frazzled and just want some quiet time, but for the most part I LOVE every minute of taking care of them and tending to their needs. I know without a doubt this is what I was meant to do in this life was to have these babies and to love and nurture them. I love them so very much! It is amazing how much love we have.

Our Small Hours...11am-1pm

~11am- While I am vacuuming the couch I throw the cushions on the floor so Addison can play on them. She loves this and thinks it is so fun! I like to roll around with her a little too! ;) Mason has just finished nursing at 11 so he is laying down while I do this and she is 'helping' me. I try to finish up the things inside quickly so I can get her outside to play for a bit before we got to get inside and do lunch, etc. By 11 am I have changed 6 diapers between the two of them.

Here is the only pic I got of her that day while we were outside playing in her pool, chalking, and riding her toys.

Addison falls asleep a lot in her chair while eating lunch. If I see her nodding off I lay her down before she actually falls asleep, but as you can see in the above I didn't catch her in time. It is about 12:45 and she fell asleep watching her favorite show, Yo Gabba Gabba. So I lay her down and make myself a quick sandwich and then Mason wakes up for his lunch.....

My boy just got his lunch plus a new butt so he is happy! While sissy is sleeping we have some one on one special snuggle time just me and my boy. Addison gets her special snuggle time in the mornings usually....or whenever brother isn't in my arms. :) So this is the only time during the day that I really try to sit down or should I say get to really sit down. Other than that there is stuff to do, a house to clean or someone who needs me, plus this is one of those days that we are home. If we are not home then that is another whole story!

Our Small Hours....8am-10am

As some of you know, I like to blog hop and there was one that I came across who had small babies and did a post of her day from hour to hour and posted pics from that day. I thought how neat for the babies to look back one day and see this. So here I am adding my own post from one of our days. It is really true these 'small hours' make up our life. Our days just fly by in a blink of an eye here in the McNeely house, so on this day I did my best to capture as many pics as possible of the day to day stuff on June 17, 2010.....
~8am- About this time I have nursed twice, made breakfast, fed the dogs, changed 3 diapers, emptied the dishwasher, took out trash, made all beds, started baby lessons, swept the floor, started some laundry....When Addison wakes up she throws her arms up in the air and says 'Mommy!' and then 'Blankey'. She has started this 'blankey' obsession here lately were she wants her blanket when she gets up. We snuggle for a few then brother wakes up and she CANNOT wait to go get him. At this point, he is sleeping in our bed so she RUNS into our room and says 'Brother, brother, gud morninnnnggg!' She wants to give him a hug right away! So our morning starts with this each day....

This is Mason hanging out in his chair after his 'breakfast'. ;)

~9:30-10am- Okay, so at this point I am cleaning up after breakfast, getting dressed myself, watering flowers out front, started pool water to play later....while I am doing this Addison is playing (above) and Mason is in his crib (below). I try to put him in his crib several times a day so he is use to it.

My Water Baby

"Addison guess what we are going to do!" "OUTSIDEEEEE, PLAAAAYYYY!" "Yes, that is right! Are you ready to go play in the water?" "READDDDYYYY, play in WATUR!" "What do you say?" "PEEEEZZZZZ Mommmyyyy!" " Ok, let's go!" She takes off running to the door with a big smile! This is how our conversation went as usual these days.

I wonder what she is thinking at times.
