~2:30pm- Okay, so this is where my pictures slacked off dramatically! After nursing and snuggling with Mason I lay him down back in his crib (above) and do whatever I can before Addison wakes up from her nap....computer, clean, laundry, phone, etc. Sometimes she is already awake. Her average nap is at least an hour, but can vary from 45 minutes to 2.5 hours. So I never know exactly how long she will be down. So by 3 pm she is usually up at least so we snuggle when she wakes and get some milk and a snack until she is ready to play together. We color, do shapes, puzzles, and now we do some pretend play like kitchen, dress up or pretend baby doll stuff. Those are the big ones. By this point I have changed 10 diapers, and nursed again. Mason eats every 2 hours during the day, but will go 3 hours during the mid-day and at night as of this post he has went 5 nights in a row 7.5 to 8 hours!!! WOO HOO!!! By 4pm, I usually start dinner and usually by 5pm Paul gets home. Dinnertime is at 5:30pm....like clockwork! Addison will start asking for food if she does not have it in front of her BY 5:30. If I know we are going to have a really late dinner for some reason I will have to give her a snack to hold her off. Mason wants his dinner at this time also so I usually have to nurse him while Paul and Addison eat dinner at the table without me...unless I can get to him earlier and nurse. After dinner we just hang out with Paul and talk about our days and play with the babies. Mason has 3 really wakeful periods of the day, early morning, midday and the evening.
~7pm- While I am bathing Mason, Paul bathes Addison. I failed to get anymore pics of Addison on this day. The evenings seem really busy with Paul getting home, cooking, eating, nursing, bathing, book, snack, nursing Mason and bed for Addison.
~8pm- Addison is in bed. I finish up cleaning the kitchen, dishes, and make Paul's lunch and coffee for the next day. We spend a little snuggle time with Mason and some tummy time for him also. Above, Daddy and son are 'chatting'. At 8:30pm nursing again...he eats a lot at night time! I have changed I know 14 diapers at least, but have honestly lost count. Breastfed babies poop almost after every feeding. Around 9 pm Paul heads to bed so I usually get on the computer and/or watch some tv with Mason.
~10:30pm- Is Mason's last nursing for the day (as of this post 7/1). By this point of the day, I am looking forward to having some alone time honestly. I have been staying up way to late to acquire this alone time, like 11:30 to midnight to get an hour to myself. Sometimes I do go to bed and feed him in bed for that last feeding. The next nursing session is at 6 or 6:30 am! As of this post he has went 5 nights doing this! WOOHOO!!!!
Those are our small hours that make up our day that equals our life right now. Those hours are flying by and I am trying to soak it all up and enjoy these moments with my babies. I know I missed some things, but for the most part you get the idea of what our day is like. Some days are more difficult than others and I feel frazzled and just want some quiet time, but for the most part I LOVE every minute of taking care of them and tending to their needs. I know without a doubt this is what I was meant to do in this life was to have these babies and to love and nurture them. I love them so very much! It is amazing how much love we have.
