It is hard to believe that our little girl has officially been on this earth for a whole year now. My, oh my, how our lives has changed in that year! Addison is such a beautiful blessing. I started this blog when she was only growing in my tummy and now look at how she has turned into such an amazing little being. We love her with all of our hearts. Everyday I see traits of both Paul and I in her and I still find that quite amazing to see yourself in someone else.
She has been given to us to raise here on earth the best that we can. What a joy it has been! Although there have been some trying times being a mommy, but only times of unconditional love. I know I have grown through this experience. One thing I can say for sure is that we are so blessed...we love you Addison!
In honor of her 12 months here on earth with us here are 12 things we love about her...written to Addison...
1. Your laugh. When we tickle you, you just tense up and giggle, giggle, giggle! It is so precious. Your are especially ticklish under your chin and under your arms.
2. Your energy. You never stop moving, learning, exploring, climbing, observing. You will keep us young and active I believe!
3. Snuggle time. Although this time if few and far between since you are such a busy baby, we do enjoy it so. You just put your little hands under your chest and rest your head on our shoulder.
4. Your smile. It lights up the darkest of days and melts my heart each and every time.
5. Your voice. You have so many words already...Mom, Mama, Dad, Dada, Dog, Doggy, Ball, Duck... It is a precious sound to hear you in your crib in the morning hollering "Mom"!
6. Your tricks. We love the things that you do like raising your arms, finding your belly button, blowing kisses, finding our nose and mouth.
7. Your dance moves. We always smile and start laughing when we see you dancing. It is the cutest thing ever! Again very active!
8. Your unconditional love. We love how you love us. When you see either of us you can see the love on your face. It melts my heart when you raise your arms to be picked up.
9. Your hugs. What more can I say?! You hold on so tight and we just love your arms wrapped around us.
10. Your curiosity. You point at things as if you are asking what they are and I tell you, but you also point at things that you want. So curious!
11. We love that you make us want to be better people. We may not be perfect, but we certainly love and care for you dearly and continue to grow each and everyday.
12. We love you for YOU! You were wonderfully made in Mommy's tummy and placed in this world for a purpose.
Addison Grace we could not be any happier! We hope you have a healthy, happy and full life. I want you to enjoy each and every moment as if it is your last, take nothing for granted, learn something from every situation, always give to others, be respectful of others, but most importantly remember that your Mommy and Daddy love you with all of their hearts unconditionally and completely.
