Daddy & Mommy Time

Addison has taken quite well to being fed from a bottle. We try to have at least one bottle feeding a day so Paul can have an opportunity to feed our little one. I thought he was going to tear up when he fed her the first time! How sweet!

Umblical stump fell off! 9/27

Today Addison's umbilical stump fell off! Somehow we lost it! Now she can have real baths! Yeah!

I got this tummy time mat at wal-mart which is suppose to be a good stimulus for babies. She likes the music that the fish makes! If she is fussy I play that and she will calm down--usually!

My girl is losing her hair....most of the hair on top of her head has fallen out. The hair coming back is really light blonde. If I use the sponge on her head at bathtime more hair falls out! Right now it looks like she has a mini mowhawk!

Back to Nevada 9/25

Cindy and Jacob are flying back to Nevada today. I am so sad to see them go. I enjoyed their visit. It reminded me of old days back in Virginia of how we got together all of the time. Now we just have to plan a new trip. We were thinking of Yellowstone National Park or Colorado...meeting in the middle would be easier. The guys could so snow skiing and us girls could go to the spa! Sounds like a plan to me! I miss you guys already! Hugs and Kisses from Aunt Kiki and Uncle Paul!

FIRST COO!

All ready for bed...and as Paul and Cindy were on the couch with the babies little girl cooed for the first time at them! 9/24! Then she cooed twice for me right afterwards. Now she makes noises and coos all the time! It is funny to hear her grunt. Wow, our baby is growing too fast!

Today she also got weighed. My girl weighs 8 lbs 10 oz! She has gained over 1 lb 8 oz in two weeks! They ideally want them to gain at least 1.5 lbs to 2 lbs a month until three months of age. Some of her newborn stuff is starting to get snug! She is starting to fit into more 0-3 months clothes.

General Leonard Wood Hospital

Here is the hospital were I gave birth to our new bundle of joy. The first one is coming up the hill you see the hospital in the background. Ob/GYN and Labor & Delivery are all on the same floor. They recently remodeled the whole floor, floor 3. I made quite a few visits here during my last trimester. All of the labor and delivery nurses are wonderful and very helpful.

Today (9/24) we had to take Addison in for a quick unblicial cord checkup since her cord hasn't fallen off yet. Her peditrician said we were cleaning it too good...go figure! You need some bacteria to eat off the cord evidently. So they burned the rest of it off and it should fall off in a few days.

Picture Day! 9/23

Today we took Addison to get her 4 week pictures done. Wow, what a work out. This was my first experience at this so I did not know what to expect. I sure am glad I took Cindy along with me. We went wal-mart shopping afterwards and by the time we got home I was the one ready for a nap!
